Japan’s rich history spans thousands of years, shaped by remarkable events and cultural transformations. Ancient Japan witnessed the rise of dynasties, such as the Yamato, followed by periods of feudalism and samurai warrior rule. In the 19th century, Japan embarked on a path of modernization and opened its doors to the world, undergoing rapid industrialization and political reforms. Today, Japan operates under a constitutional monarchy, where the Emperor serves as a ceremonial figurehead, and the Prime Minister, chosen by the National Diet, leads the government. The National Diet, a bicameral legislature, consists of the House of Representatives and the House of Councillors, responsible for enacting laws and representing the people.
